History

Niagara Charter School is a community public school that opened its doors August 21, 2006 with 264 students in grades K-4 and has grown to sixth grade with 336 students. This is the first charter school in Niagara County and it is located at 2077 Lockport Road.

School Mission

The Niagara Charter School is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and dispositions to grow and problem solve, giving them the resources to lead and succeed in the school and the community at large.

Curriculum

To strengthen and empower our school community, students are offered academic, social, and life skills through various projects, using traditional and non-traditional methodologies and technological enhancements.

The Niagara Charter School uses New York State curriculum through the Expeditionary Learning/Outward Bound school design.

Additionally Niagara Charter School provides educational oportunities to all eligible English Language Learners (ELL).

To meet the educational goals set forth in our school charter Niagara Charter School utilizes an extended school year (Late August - Late June)
