I would like to honor Shikigh who has distinguished himself as an excellent student/athlete on and off the court. 

Every month a student from each class is selected for Student of the Month, based on the Word of the Month.  This month, Shikigh was selected based on the Word of the Month - Communication.

I have selected Shikigh based on Communication - which is February’s Word of the Month.  Shikigh demonstrates the definition of communication.

Communication - requires a vast repertoire of skills in intrapersonal and interpersonal processing, listening, observing, speaking, questioning, analyzing, and evaluating.

Aside from excelling in both academics and athletics, Shikigh is also involved with the school basketball program.    

After briefly speaking with Shikigh, I realized that he plays with the Pistons, a basketball team who competes against the Boy & Girls Club of Niagara Falls. Shikigh also enjoys  going to his gram’s church because he gets to play basketball.  

Most importantly, Skikigh understands that he needs to put more effort in Math.  He wants to make sure he gets all his Math assignments in on time. 

I believe that Shikigh’s behavior and attitude make him an excellent nomination for “Do The Right Thing.”  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call me at 298-4520 ext. 7218.



Every month a student from each class is selected for Student of the Month, based on the Word of the Month.  This month, Na’Shya was selected based on the Word of the Month – “Respect.”  Na’Shya demonstrates the definition of respect.

Respect - Showing high regard for an authority, other people, self, and country.  Treating others as you would want to be treated. Understanding that all people have value as human beings.

Aside from excelling in both academics and athletics, Na’Shya is also involved with the school newspaper and band program.   She shows respect to her classmates, teammates, band mates, teachers, and herself. 

Most importantly, Na’Shya shared with me all the wonderful places her mother has taken her.  While on her trips traveling around the eastern part of the country, she loves the way her mother treats her.  She respects her mother for taking her on these trips and hopes to travel even more!
